Wilma Craig Claus

Wilma Craig Claus, 81, of Lake Monticello, died on Sunday, July 4, 2010, at the Gordon House in Gordonsville.

She was born on August 1, 1928, in Patterson, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Edward Craig and Lillian Schmit Craig.

Mrs. Claus was a member of South Plains Presbyterian Church in Keswick. She had a love for music all of her life and was a former choir director and organist for Wayne Presbyterian Church in Wayne, New Jersey.

She is survived by her husband, William Jacob Claus Jr. of Lake Monticello; three daughters, Kimberlee Harrison of Leesburg, Gail Harrington and her husband, Steven, of Arizona, Carol Earl and her husband, David, of Tennessee; three step daughters, Janice Terry and her husband, John, of Tuckerton, New Jersey, Connie McKenna and her husband, Dan, of Freehold, New Jersey, Laurie Claus of Johnson City, New York; a stepmother, Eleanor Craig of Venus, Florida; a sister, June Baima; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Coombs.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010, at South Plains Presbyterian Church in Keswick with interment to follow at the church cemetery. Pastor David Garth will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the South Plains Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund, P.O. Box 277, Keswick, VA 22947.

Preddy Funeral Home of Gordonsville is in charge of arrangements.
