Ruth Dickinson Obituary
AGE: 93 • Denville
Ruth Dickinson of Denville passed away on Tuesday, January 24 at the age of 93.
Born in Massachusetts and raised in East Orange, Ruth received a B.S. Degree in Physical Education from Russell Sage College, and a Master's Degree in Education and a Certificate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University. Upon her retirement in 1988, she had been head of the Physical Therapy Department at Columbia for 32 years.
An avid traveler and lover of the outdoors, Ruth enjoyed hiking the Appalachian Trail, photography, birdwatching in Scotland, dachshunds, and family celebrations with her cousins.
A celebration of Ruth's life will be held at The Presbyterian Church in Leonia at 181 Fort Lee Road, on Tuesday, February 21 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at East Ridgeland Cemetery in Clifton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Presbyterian Church in Leonia are welcomed.
