Opal Hobson

HOBSON (King), Opal K. Age 91 of Englewood, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017. She had been a teacher for more than 41 years throughout the area and retired from Northmont City Schools. Opal was a member of First Baptist Church of Vandalia. She enjoyed being with her family and meeting with the Wendy's lunch group. She is survived by her sons: Chris (Sandra) Hobson of GA, Steven (Patricia) Hobson of Englewood, grandchildren: Christopher (Sarah) Hobson, Amber Michelle (Ricky) Davis, great granddaughter: Haley, Layla, MacKenzie, R.J., Alexia, Major, niece: Sue Tackett of KY, other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Arthur Hobson, parents: Willie and Costa (Hall) King, brothers: Charles Edward, Leon, Estil and James King and sister: Zelda Johnson. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Pastor David Starry officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Brookville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.
