News Death Notice

JOHNSON, C. Terry age 73, of Centerville, passed away Friday January 7, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton after a battle with cancer. He was born September 24, 1937 in Bethel, Connecticut to Evelyn (Terry) and Clifford G. Johnson. Terry was a 1956 graduate of Kent School, Kent, CT, 1960 graduate of Trinity College, Hartford, CT, and a 1963 graduate of Columbia University School of Law. He was an attorney for Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur and was certified by the Ohio Bar Association as a specialist in the practice of Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law. He was listed in "The Best Lawyers in America", Trusts and Estates, 1987 to present; Fellow, American College of Trust and Estate Counsel; Past Chair, Board of Governors, Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Section, Ohio State Bar Association, 1993-1995; Past Chair, Board of Trustees Ohio CLE Institute 1998-1999; Award, Ohio State Bar Foundation, for seminars presented and articles written on estate planning and estate administration subjects, 1993; and published several articles in "Probate Law Journal of Ohio and other publications. He was preceded in death by his parents and two aunts. Terry is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Suzanne (Chichy) Johnson, four sons Benjamin and his wife Linda of Kettering, Clifford and his wife Dannielle of Oregon, Jeremy and his wife Maureen of Cincinnati, and Aaron and his wife Laura of Florida, two daughters Laura Elizabeth of Kettering and Melissa Johnson of California, eight grandchildren Sparrow, Brandon, Adyson, Lauren, Lola, Lockland, Liam and Kimberly, two sisters Mary Turek and husband Chip of California and Emmy Burdette and husband Sandy of Florida. A memorial service will be held Friday January 14, 6:00 pm at Conner & Koch Funeral Home, 92 W. Franklin St. (S.R. 725), Bellbrook. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
