My heart goes out to you all. Father please wrap your strong arms around the family, may they take comfort in the many happy memories that they have of their loving mother, grandmother, sister and auntie. Lord let us remember that you listen through our hearts when we are unable to pray with words.

Everyone who knew Velma loved her. It was my great pleasure to work side by side with her for 10 years. I will never forget this wonderful woman.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Donyea, our hearts were heavy at the news of Ms. Velma's passing. We had no idea when you married into the family, she came as a package deal! What a gift to us she has been. My love for her was sealed when I saw how she loved and cared for our Mother -- she was always kind to Caliel too! It was evident how she spread her love around when all her friends came to celebrate her surprise birthday. She definitely left her footprint on a lot of heart. Life just doesn't seem right without your parents but the beauty of God is his gift of memory and allowing us to still feel their love. We will be praying for you and your family.
