Bill was a wonderfully funny guy I was so happy to have contributing to the Top5 Comics list I edit. I am so sorry for your loss.

Bruce

April 21, 2010

Bill and I were fellow contributors on a couple of the Top Five lists. His humor and sharp wit will be deeply missed. I'm sorry that I never had the opportunity to meet him. He certainly helped make the world a funnier place.

April 20, 2010

Bill,
We will miss your wit on the Top5 Food list.

Judy

April 20, 2010

I, too, only knew him for his brilliant humor entries at Top5, but he sounds like the sort of guy who would have felt at home in many of my groups. I'm on staff of a regional (Chicago area) Science Fiction convention and belong to a Trek group and a reading group both of which he would have enjoyed. I'll add my prayers to the many deserved prayers already in motion.

Andy Grosser

April 20, 2010

Paula,
I'd known Bill online for a few years -- he was a regular contributor to several of the humor lists on topfive.com. I moderate the TopFive music list, and Bill was a reliable source for prompt and deeply funny entries.
I'm terribly sorry for your loss and want you to know that many of Bill's friends on the list share their sincere condolences. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

April 20, 2010

I only knew Bill as a contributor to the Top 5 family of humor websites; he was a contributor to my list, www.littlefivers.com/Food. I didn't know very much about him personally, but I had a huge respect for his sense of humor and talent. I'm sure this strength in his personality would have made him a great guy to be around, and I'm also sure he'll be sorely missed, in whatever capacity. My condolences to his family and close friends.

Paula, I've known you and Bill for 6 years and during that time I've grown to love you both as if you were family.. Bill was a wonderful person to work with and had such a warm and beautiful spirit. He was not just a co-worker he was truly my FRIEND... My prayers are with you....

April 12, 2010

Paula, I was shocked to learn of Bill's death today. It just goes to show, we don't "neighbor" like people used to. I can tell from reading the comments in Bill's guest book that he was a very special person. I wish I'd known him. If there is anything I can do for you, just let me know. Linda Cline, Decatur

Paula, I never had the pleasure of meeting Bill in person, but I was devastated when I learned of his passing. He was one of the wittiest, most clever, kindest people I've ever known, and I respected and admired him. The world is a poorer place without him. My thoughts will be with you.

Paula,
I miss knowing that Bill is no longer amoung us walking this good earth. While he was here Mr. Bill captivated us with his humor, spirit, and willingness to reach out to many to assist and make each day a brighter day. Bill was precious to each person he touched. May there be real daisy chains to welcome him in heaven.
May the Love of God always surround you and your family.

March 22, 2010

Paula,
I am Eddie Terry's sister and I only met Bill once and talked to him on the phone several times when he and Eddie were 'cutting' up. He was so funny and so nice. I know Eddie thought the world of him.
You are in my prayers and I know you will get through this difficult time.
Hugs and prayers,
Karen

Paula and Livingston family, My memories of Bill cover the past 10 years that we have worked together on this project. He was one of the nicest men that I have know - he always had a smile and something pleasant to say to everyone. Bill could be counted on to help solve any issue, and I NEVER heard him loose his patience with anyone. He will be greatly missed. May God grant you peace in this time of sorrow in the assurance that an even more beautiful live has begun for Bill. And may you find comfort in the warm memories of the beautiful life that has passed. I posted a photo of the SML team Bill worked with. If you would like an email copy, just let me know.

Bill was such a good friend to so many people. It was a great pleasure working with him at the NEACC and farming with him online. He could raise anybody's spirits with a smile, a few kind words, or a joke. I can't help but smile when I think of his quick-witted one-liners. He worked hard and played hard, and valued his friendships. Paula, my prayers are with you and your family. Heaven has another angel.

March 17, 2010

To Bill's wife & family, Bill will be greatly missed here at his home away from home. He was such a kind and helpful co-worker and friend. Always willing to help in any way he could. Always cheerful and blessed with a delightful personality. When I began working on this contract, Bill was one of the first persons I met. One day, a few years ago, I needed help and went to seek out Bill's assistance. In his cube I saw a photo of himself with his wife. I asked who was in the picture with him and I could see the happiness in his face when he said that the other person was his wife. A beautiful picture and a remberance of a loving marriage and a man that was dedicated to his family. He will be sorely missed.

I have known Bill for years, but had not worked with him in quite a while. However, we recently moved to the Intergraph building, and Bill graciously helped me after hours when I was having problems with the scanner. And from all the dealings I ever had with Bill, that's the way he would be...helpful and considerate.

March 17, 2010

I was fortunate to work with Bill in 1990. Bill brought great knowledge. I knew when I needed information I could turn to Bill because he would have the answer. He used to write trivia questions and sometimes would even share some with our group to break up the day. We never know why the Lord calls our loved ones home but He must have needed Bill too. Deepest sympathy to Paula and the Livingston family.

March 17, 2010

We are all going to miss Bill at the NEACC. Whether you knew him really well, working with him every day, or you only occasionally saw him. I really didn’t know Bill very well. Bill was the guy you went to if you didn’t know where to go. He would always help you or tell you who could. He was the guy who came into your office every once in a while and did the safety check, always very efficient, polite. I would see him in the cafeteria and say hi. Bill was always polite, unassuming, said hi back. And each time I saw him, I realize now, there was a certain feeling of comfort. I liked running into Bill. I knew Bill was a good man. There was no pretense, no agenda, he was just a good man. And, as I read all the comments from other people, those that knew him well, and those that didn’t, I can see that whether you knew him well or not, everyone had the same feeling. There’s not enough Bill’s in this world, but we can all be thankful for having had Bill in our lives, no matter how big or small the part.

My family and I send our sincerest condolences to Paula and the Livingston Family,

March 16, 2010

Paula,

We are so sorry for your loss. Bill had many friends and they are all yours. I had many enjoyable moments with Bill over the years. Serving as our organizations safety monitor he would ask us to read the safety presentations that he would attach to periodic broadcast email messages that requested that we report ourselves as "complete" when we had completed reviewing the material. We had many instances of ad libbed hilarity in association with those messages. Bill was a wonderful individual and will be missed by a multitude.
