Glenn Thalheimer Obituary
November 19, 1953 - December 13, 2011
Glenn Robert Thalheimer passed away suddenly in Los Olivos, CA, from complications of cardiac surgery.
Glenn was the beloved son of Lorraine and the late Robert Thalheimer and was born and raised primarily in the Wilmington area. He was a 1971 graduate of the Tatnall School and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Delaware. He then entered Brandeis University in Waltham, MA to pursue a doctorate in anthropology, changing course at about the Master's level to enter the field of computers.
After leaving the Erickson Co., Glenn moved to Los Olivos in 2000. There, he managed and oversaw the development of Clairmont Lavender Farm.
In addition to his mother Lorraine, Glenn is survived by his three children, Anne-noelle of Amherst, MA, Nicholas (Heidi) of Leominster, MA and Andres C. of Townsend, MA; his former wife, Karen W. of Townsend, MA; his life-long friend and cousin, Robert Cooling of Flat Rock, NC; Mrs. Heidi Scheing of Lincoln University, PA, his friend and extended family brother, Blair Dickerson of Wilmington.
Glenn leaves behind a legion of friends who will remember him as kind, gentle, generous, fun loving, thoughtful and selfless. He loved animals, birds, growing things, photography, developing new products, culinary skills and dealing with the public.
Glenn was well known in Los Olivos for his pet roosters and chickens.
Glenn will be missed by all who knew him. He was a friend of Bill W.
Final arrangements were made in Townsend, MA.

Wally, you were a real friend and I am proud to have shared great memories of going on vacation and motorcycle racing as young and crazy youths.
