Mary Castle Obituary

Mary C. Castle, 93 Former Swarthmore Resident Mary C. Castle (nee Kearney) peacefully passed away on August 30, 2013. She attended St. Carthage Grade School and graduated from West Catholic Girls High School in 1938. Mary worked for Curtis Publishing and Alexander and Alexander Insurance Company. When she retired Mary volunteered at Archbishop Prendergast High School and Little Flower Manor. She also received numerous awards from the Delaware Valley Cancer Society. Mary was known for her both her meticulous household and her personal appearance. She was the beloved wife of John Castle for 51 years prior to his death in 1992. Survivors: Her sons John Castle, Jr., Robert (Donna) Castle; her daughter Carolyn (Michael) McErlean; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Viewing: Saturday, 9:30AM, Holy Cross Church, 651 E.
