Iris Fuller Obituary
Mechanicsburg, PA-Iris H. Fuller, age 80, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016. Born January 26, 1936 in Willards, MD, she was the daughter of the late Roger C. and Maggie Lynn (Layton) Hearn. She attended school in Maryland, graduating from St. Mary's Seminary and later studied nursing at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.
Iris also graduated from the National Keyboard Arts Associates in Princeton, NJ and was an officer and member of the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association for twenty-five years. She studied privately with Patricia Sanford and William Fairlamb at Lebanon Valley College. She was an independent piano teacher in Mechanicsburg for over thirty years and served as a volunteer for Contact Harrisburg for twelve years.
Iris is survived by her husband, Evert Fuller and her children, A.K. Fuller and Greg Fuller and wife Cheryl. Also surviving are Ray and Gloria Hearn, Mary Hearn, Darryl Hearn, and Roger, Deidre, and Margaret Hearn. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard and Vernon Hearn and Janice Buckley.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 11 at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg, where there will be a visitation beginning at 12:30 PM. Donations may be made to the Bethany Village Care Assurance Fund, 325 Wesley Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.

I am really sad for the Fuller family, and sad to imagine how Miss Iris must have suffered. My thoughts, and love, are going especially to Kim, such a wonderful person, one of the nicest, sweet, caring, interesting person I ever met. I guess Iris was part of Kim being so gret. My thoughts too, to Iris husband, Evert, and son, Greg. I consider them as my (american) family. May their life be sweet, as much as possible. Love from France, Celine

I am so sorry for your loss. Iris was such a sweet, kind, fun and fun loving lady. I have many fond memories of times spent with her. My sincerest condolences, Letty.

Please accept our deepest sympathy during this time of loss. Iris taught both of our sons how to play the piano, and they thoroughly enjoyed their time with her. They took lessons from about age ten until the time they left for college. They often came home laughing and joking about something silly that happened while they were together, but they always had a good lesson and learned to appreciate music. Please know that you and your family will be in our prayers.
