Our deepest sympathy for Ray's family and loved ones. I must share what a delight Ray was to talk to on the phone and in person. His cheerful disposition was incredibly contagious. Every conversation, however brief and professional in nature, brightened my day a little bit. I always hung up the phone saying, "What a nice fellow!"
So sorry for your loss. I'll be looking for Ray in heaven. Amen! ~Kathleen Goyette, Bristol Valley Theater, Naples, NY

I am so saddened to learn of Ray's passing. I remember meeting him at my in-laws, in 1969, when he and his Dad stopped to say "Hi!"

I have been insured with him ever since. I will miss that quick wit and jovial personality.

One day, several years ago, when I called him, he asked how I was. I said I was OK .. busy making a huge pot of beef stew. His reply? "I'll be right over!" He knew he was always welcome.

My condolences to Carol and the entire family, including all those at 890 S Winton Rd.

Dear Shannann, Brent, Carol and Grandchildren, please accept our most sincere and heartfelt condolences.

My parents had Swallow Insurance since its early days.

My 1972 Ford Pinto was insured by you. My Husband John and I have had you for 40 years since we were 16.

Our daughter still has insurance with you.

That says A LOT!!!

I talked to your Dad after Christmas and he told me that he was NOT ready to retire. His reason......He was having so much fun with Shannan & Brent.

You all were blessed.

I always enjoyed talking to him..... he could always make me laugh!!

He was a good, honest man, who we will truly miss.

May God's peace be with you.

Dear Swallow Family,
Our condolences to you on the sudden loss of your husband and father. Ray traveled quite a distance to help us set up our insurance policy, met our daugher (Kristin) with special needs, and always asked about her when we contacted him on the phone. In fact, he remebered she collected office pens...the next trip to our home, the first thing he did was to give her a Swallow Insurance pen...her face lit up!
He will be missed by our family.

Carol,
Lynette and I were surprised to hear about Ray's passing. I feel so sorry for you and your family. I certainly enjoyed going to the races with Ray and all our events at the Elk's Club.
One of my favorite trips was with Ray, Tom Moore and Bob Stidd to the race in Pocono Pa.
He could never, however convince me to drive a Ford.

We will miss him dearly.
May God bless and be with you and your family.

Our deepest condolences to Carol, Shannan, Brent and Joan, from Dave and Chris Taylor....
Ray was such a friend in the business and so caring and compassionate to us as customers over the years, even after we moved from Rochester to the Cape. I remember the many lunches we enjoyed over the years, and the conversations we shared about working in the "family business". Ray was probably the most ethical business person I knew, and I know, Carol, that you and Shannan and Brent will miss him but will someday enjoy the many memories of a wonderful husband and father.
Love to you all,
Dave and Chris

I was so sorry to hear about Ray's passing. I didn't know him well but had many phone conversations with him regarding an insurance issue. I will always remember him for his kindness and helpfulness he showed to my son Christopher over an insurance incident a few years ago which ended up going to Court and Ray went with Chris to plead his case. We were both appreciative that he took time out of his busy schedule to help us out. My prayers go out to his family and friends. I can trust that he will be sorely missed by many.

I have many fond memories of a man I will miss. Never a dull moment!! What would he say next!!!?? When I got my hair cut short and he walked in the office and said "THAT LOOKS AWFUL!"...Only Ray gets away with that! The Toronto trip when he talked me into skycoasting...and my favorite concert to this day...Garth Brooks...outdoors on a beautiful night! His kind last words to me "you're looking good!' My love and sympathy goes out to his entire family.
