Michael McNulty Obituary
Penfield: Suddenly, February 10, 2014 at the age of 58. Predeceased by his father, Paul McNulty. Survived by his wife, Maria; children, Kayla Dietrich (Scott) & Tadd McNulty; grandson, Mason Dietrich; his mother, Janet Battle; stepson, John Buckner (Crystal); step-grandchildren, Marissa, Crystal & Shane Buckner; siblings, Colleen Pacitto (Paul), Mary Beth McNulty (Bob) & Sean McNulty (Jum); several nieces & nephews; and many dear friends.
Friends may call FRIDAY 4-8pm at the HARLOFF Funeral Home 803 South Washington Street in East Rochester. All are invited to attend Michael's Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 10:00am on SATURDAY at St. Jerome's Church 207 Garfield Street in East Rochester. Interment will be private.

To the McNulty family,
I was shocked when the news released Mike's name. I remember Mike because my parents were snowplow and tree or lawn care clients of his years ago in their previous house on Landsdowne Lane when my Dad was alive. My Mom tells me Mike took an interest in my Dad because of my Dad's heart condition. I sometimes answered the door and let Mike in so I didn't really know him like my Dad did but I can still see him and remember him as a good guy. Now they have both passed at the same age. Way too young. Rest in Peace, Mike.

I didn't know Mike well, but we were classmates at Penfield High School. I last saw him at our mini-reunion November 2012. He was such a great guy, talking to everyone. I know he will be missed, not only by his family and friends, but by the community as well. I hope your memories of Mike will keep him alive in your hearts. May he rest in peace.

Dear McNultys - I am so shocked and saddened to hear about Mike. He was one of the first people I met when I moved to Rochester. I always enjoyed our political and philosophical debates and we always ended them laughing - yes, I can hear that hearty laugh of his right now. Mike had a great sense of humor but I will also remember him as a kind and generous man. I will miss him greatly and your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace Michael....you will be missed and remembered.

I was so sad to hear of Mike's passing. We will miss him at the mulch yard stopping by, joking around, and talking about cars, trucks and motorcycles. I never thought that we would be saying goodbye so soon. You will be missed.

Some of you may not know who I am , but I am Kathleen McNulty's (Bill & Alice's daughter) oldest daughter. I was so grieved to hear about Michael. He was such a dear and caring man. He had just come to my Grandma Alice's funeral just a few months ago and we made plans for him and Maria to come out & visit and go to Letchworth State Park. Dear Maria and family - so sad to hear of Mike's being gone. He always seemed so upbeat, and projected such a "can do" attitude. He was also such a good sport about trying to get the family together. He went out of his way to make Aunt Terry feel loved. Shortly before she died he spoke to her on the phone. She smiled and tried so hard to answer him. I'll bet they're up there talking right now.

I'm going to miss Mike driving past my house and stopping to talk to me. He was a real person and I ALWAYS enjoyed chit-chatting with him. He once brought one of his bikes to my house and left it for me to ride for a couple days, not many people are that generous. I'm gonna miss that guy.
