William Steimer Obituary
Scottsville: On April 4, 2016. Predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Mary Ehrmentraut Steimer. He is survived by his children, Bill F. (Audrey) Steimer, Liz (Paul) Streb, Peggy (Michael) Kearney, Steve (Sue) Steimer; 11 grandchildren & 25 great-grandchildren; brother George Steimer; sister-in-law Ceal Steimer; numerous nieces; nephews; cousins & special friend Mary Stultz. Bill served in the U.S. Army in Europe during WWII. He is a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal & the French Legion of Honor award. Ever a patriot, Bill was devoted to his family, loved farming & had an affinity for mechanic work.
Family & friends are invited to his Memorial Mass on Friday, April 22 at 10:30 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 99 Main St., Scottsville. A reception will follow at the Smith Warren Post 367 of the American Legion, 61 Main St., Scottsville. Kindly consider a donation to the Legion School Scholarship Fund, c/o Smith Warren American Legion Post 367, 61 Main St., Scottsville, NY 14546.

My deepest and heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Bill. I knew Bill when my husband and I were residents of the Legacy at Parklands. He was loved and admired by all who knew him. He really loved farming and was an inspiration to all of who had any doubts about slowing down as we grew older.
