To all the Spechts:
We have very fond memories of your family , mom and dad living next door to my dad all those years. Jean came to help Gretchen babysit on occasion when our little ones 15 months apart required more hands than Gretchen had! Our very first babysitter, we never forgot you. Thank you. Your mom was always so kind and generous, and was such a caring, loving and wonderful mom.
Your dad was so kind and thoughtful, always had a smile and kind word when we saw him. They raised intelligent, kind and compassionate children.
I will remember most how so very proud they were of each of you.
When Jean was the school nurse at Listwood, where I taught, she would just beam as she spoke of each of you and the paths your lives had taken as you grew up. Their faces lit up with joy as they shared your adventures. You were their greatest accomplishment and they were proud proud parents!
Please know that our hearts are with you at this time. We are so very sorry for your tremendous loss. We will keep you all in prayer as you navigate this time of sadness and loss.
Stay close to each other and be well.
Sincerely,
Jane and Dave DeVoldre
