Our great son, Tony, aka Mr. Bronco left mortality too soon, but the spirit of our happy son lingers on through many Tender Mercies. We will oft times feel a gentle feather like swipe across a cheek or the forehead. Such a tender feeling of thinking about our #1 Son. Of course, our only son and his happy go lucky little sister, Mandee, keeps the go for it attitude active with a great smile and laugh.

Big "T" you are greatly missed but not forgotten. In fact Tony, we have a young lady in our Ward remembers you from Kearns, Jr. High and your hair cutting donation. Luv ya' Bud, Mom and Dad.

Tony, thanks for the "good times." We do and will miss your charm, smiles, great help and just an all around great son. We are blessed to know that you are with us. We showed Annie Kolob Fingers and told her that is where God lives. She asked if daddy was there and we told her more than likely he is there with God and His other angels so wave at him. She waved and smiled. We told her we would take her there each time she comes down. Your Mom and Dad miss your physical presence but bask in knowing that your spirit is watching over us. A few pictures of our "good times." Luv ya' Bud, Dad and Mom

November 10, 2011

My dear son, Tony, your physical absence is a tough bullet to bite. I am so glad that your spirit was finally able to be released from the prison of your body. I feel so blessed to have been at your side when you took the 7th inning stretch to the spirit world. You looked so peacefully and I do hope you forgive me for not being stronger for you. I feel your presence with your mother and me as we go through each day remembering the "good times" as you so often referred to them. You have touched so many lives here and just look at the lives you will touch in your new venture. As you know, at this time the Bog Bombers are in first place in our fantasy league. You are my number one son forever. Luv ya' Bud, Dad

Mr.boggess you were such a strong man. You were the most inspirational and outgoing teacher. I remember in sbo class when we would be in mrs.millers office playing with the helium you would always yell at me, julie, alex and jordan not to be playing with it. You were so concerned about us, you were like our second father! Guiding us and teaching us even though at times we really didnt want to hear it but you made sure we understood (: because of you i got over my stage freight and i wasnt so quiet anymore after junior high. You had a huge impact on my life and im so greatful that you were apart of my memories. They will forever live on in my heart<3 you will forever be missed but never forgotten (': we love you! Tony was interested in journalism when he was growing up in Colorado Springs and wanted to get his merit badge for journalism. He received many, many merit badges but I'm glad I helped him get that one. He was always cheerful and good to our boys, helping them be interested in scouting as young men. Thanks to all the Boggess family for years of good memories in Colorado Springs, a great place to raise a family.

Less than a month before he left this world, Tony Boggess traveled to California to keep his promise to his cousin Jordan that he would be present at Jordan's Bar Mitzvah. The family in California has him in our hearts now forever, and we send our love and support to Lyn and Rhonda Boggess while they celebrate Tony's life with the Utah clan.

To Tony who is the only man who understand what a "three day cake" means. And that a golf ball is meant to be picked up while still in the golf cart. That golf clubs aren't always meant to stay in one piece. I will miss your mischievous grin and laugh, your love of family time and all that's good and right in life. You are one of the GOOD GUYS and I am grateful to know you. God bless Jen and the kids, Mandee and Wally & Jeannie. We mourn that you are gone and hold fast to the hope of seeing you again someday on the other side. Thank you for being you!

There have been only a few teachers that made a difference in my schooling and he was at the top of the list. He taught more than just history, he taught us about life and helped many students through the struggles of adolescence and pressure. He was a great man with a huge heart and contagious smile.... I had the great privilege of serving as a student body officer during Tony's time as the Student Body Advisor at Kearns Junior High. What a humorous, intelligent and loving person we have lost. My two years working with Boggess will forever be entrenched in my Junior High memories. When I reflect back on educators who've made an impact on my life, Tony Boggess' name, undoubtedly, will come up. I recall sharing a great love for the Denver Broncos with Boggess. When we lost to the Steelers in the AFC Championship in '05, he declared the Monday after as "Black Monday." I'll never forget the 6 AM meetings, the assemblies where we could all count on Boggess to do something crazy, and the many times he challenged us middle school students to think beyond ourselves (which was pretty hard for us lol). The talks and great times I had with Boggess will never be forgotten. He was one of the first educators I had that challenged me to grow. I'm truly grateful to be among the many students who have been impacted by Boggess. It breaks my heart to know he's gone. He was so ecstatic about being father and I have no doubt he's been a great one to his children. His legacy will, undoubtedly, live on in those who knew this truly special individual. We love you Boggess..!

Mr. Boggess was a teacher of mine at Kearns Jr. High. He did love his job, and his Broncos, as I was there one of the years they went to the superbowl. What a year that was for him! I will always remember him, and he made a profound impact on me at that time in my life. My thoughts and prayers go to his family.
