Derek Luster Obituary

Derek Luster, 27, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2010, in Fort Worth. Service: 10 a.m. Monday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Private interment: Dido Cemetery. Open visitation: Sunday; some family members will be present 2 to 4 p.m. Derek was born in Shreveport, La., and had lived in the Azle-Fort Worth area since he was 1 year old. He attended school in Azle and played baseball in the Azle and Boyd youth associations. Derek had a personality larger than life; his presence filled any room and he had an unmistakable laugh. He adored his wife, children and his family. Survivors: Wife, Kayci Nichole Lawler; children, Kloey Michaela Luster, Kyler Matthew Luster, Keira Marie Luster, Logan Riley Luster and another child is expected in August; parents, Diane McFarlin Watson and Johnny A. Luster; siblings, Brandyn Moore, Tonya Crisman, Brandie Montgomery and Lisa Watts; and nieces and nephews, Noell Luster, Payton Wynn, Kyndal Crisman, Nicholas and Kristin Watts, Breanna, Jordan and Cole Montgomery.

To my "Lusters" This is Mrs. Ross from Eagle Heights and I just learned of your loss. I am so terribly sad to hear about your Daddy passing away. He was always so kind and smiled SO BIG when you 3 came out to meet him at parent pick up! I went to school with Derek and I remember he always had a funny thing to say or do. He was comical and could make anyone laugh. I am truly sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what your family is going through but know you have a lot of suuport if you need it. He will be missed.

Kayci there are no words that will fill the void in your heart. We will all miss Derek and his laugh, smile and since of humor (right).He had a special way of letting everyone know when he was present in a room. Only time will start to heal your hurt. Stay strong and know that you are surrounded by family and friends that love you.
