Timothy Haven Obituary

Timothy Parrish Haven, 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Graveside service: 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Memorials: Those wishing to do so may make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Tarrant County Humane Society. Timothy was born in Fort Worth on Nov. 6, 1942, to Mary Parrish Haven and G.O. Haven. He graduated from Burleson High School and attended the University of Missouri, School of Mines/Engineering, Rolla, Mo., before joining the Army and serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He married Mary Forestell with whom he had three children, Corrina, David and Kara. He was honorably discharged after eight years of Army service whereupon he entered the family real estate business. Loving to travel he went into the long-haul trucking business, which he enjoyed for many years, with his second wife and driving partner, June Haven. In his final years, he indulged in his lifelong hobby of metalworking. He was a member of the University United Methodist Church as well as a Master Mason in good standing of the Grand Lodge of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Parrish and G.O. Haven, and his daughter, Corrina Haven Steinmann. Survivors: Timothy is survived by son, David and wife, Lesli; daughter, Kara and husband, Michael; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Jan Haven Bourne; and numerous cousins.
