Pat is missed every day. She was an inspiration for me -- her quick wit, attention to detail and most of all, her love of family.

Pat's father and my dad were brothers.
As a child I always looked forward to those all-too-rare occasions when our two families would visit, either at their lovely home in the suburbs of Cincinnati, or on our small farm in rural northern Ohio, east of Cleveland.
Pat was a little dynamo -- vivacious and intelligent, a gifted artist with an irresistible, impish sense of humor. Even though she was only a few years my senior, she was my hero. I can actually remember times when I would fall asleep at night wishing that when I woke up, I'd be just like Pat.

Dear David and Family,
I can only imagine your loss at this difficult time. Pat was an amazing woman--so spirited and full of life. I have often admired the love between you and Pat and of course all of your family. You both are truly a model of unconditional love and your daughters and grandchildren reflect this. I hope you and your family are swaddled in love and prayers at this most difficult time.
Fondly,
Dale & Jane Kucko

My Aunt is one of the most inspiring people I have ever met. I miss her more than words can say. She was so full of life and happiness. She will forever hold a special place in my heart. I love you Aunt Pat.

Being a junior bridesmaid in my Aunt Pat and Uncle David's wedding was the very first wedding experience I ever had. In fact, flying to Cincinnati for the occasion was also my very first plane flight. It was all so exciting! And thinking about all the time that has gone by since then really reminds me how quickly the times of our lives go.
Pat's creativity and attention to detail were unmistakable, whether it be in her art studio or her kitchen or a wonderful melding of the two. Her gastronomic delights could be true works of art, to be sure.
I will miss you, Pat. Thanks for being a part of the Sloan family.

Patsy Bob was the name I gave her. She was my first boss, my second mom, my mentor, idol and most importantly my friend. She was there for me in highs and lows. We shared ideas and tips, family updates and of course RECIPES!! (I am the meringue mushroom girl!)
I enjoyed watching Samantha and Celeste grow up and hearing about the grandkids. I was glad we had lunch together with my daughter.
David, Samantha and Celeste-- My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Patsy Bob will always hold a special place in my heart. I would not be where I am today without her influence.
With much Love,
Lisa Leonard Koger

Pat was a genuine loving creative friend. We always exchanged chocolates from a thousand miles away because we cared for each other. She was a rey of sunshine wherever she went no matter how bad she felt. She will always be in my heart. Alice Dale Kimsey

Pat and I shared so much for many years. We were colleagues, friends, shoppers and travelers. Crazy ideas were the norm and Pat was the queen of the kitchen. I will miss her always and love her always. Thank you Pat.

I have known Pat for most of my life through my mom (Rebecca Avant). I have the fondest memories of parties at the Sloan's and am so sad to hear of this loss. Pat was the most kind and elegant woman. I just adored her. Thinking of you all.

Pat was my friend. I admired and respected her as a professional associate, and adored her as a lively, witty person with a superior intellect. We worked together at TCU, and we both worked hard. But we also found time to just chat--about our lives and our families, restaurants and recipes. One of our favorite lunch spots was Benito's. She will be there with me every time I dine there, for the rest of my days. You were a terrific, classy lady Pat. I will miss you.

Pat is such a beautiful lady who raised wonderful and caring daughters. I'll always remember her as someone who was truely interested in who you are as a person and being so sweet and caring. Thanks Pat for giving us our Celestema! We love you and her some much. (Celeste's long-time friend, Dana).
