Truly shocked and saddened to learn of Steve's passing. I had the pleasure of serving as his HR Rep at MBank/Bank One and reconnected with him briefly at Bank of Texas. Steve had such a pleasant disposition and a warm and sincere smile. Stephanie, may God sustain you and your family in this difficult time and may you find peace and comfort in your memories.

Dear Stephanie and family: Olivia and I were deeply saddened by the news of Steve's passing. He was one of those rare persons whom you instantly like and respect when you first meet. He could bring objectivity, perspective and balance to very difficult situatiions. He always projected great sincerity and warmth in any interaction. To have known Steve was a great gift.

May God bring comfort and peace to you and your family at this very sad time.

In God's love, Skip and Olivia Mattson

Steve was a great friend and partner for our family business for many years who was very kind and considerate and always a gentleman. Even in his last days he took the time to write and let us know he wasn't well and instill trust in us that we would be taken care of. You will be sorely missed Steve.
