Dear Mr. and Mrs. Brandt,

My deepest sympathies for your loss. Jeff's presence in my life brought me much peace and comfort over the years. He was always there for me, always willing to listen, always made me feel better when I was down; he made me laugh. Through his love, he made me feel special. Through his friendship, he made me see myself though different eyes, through his questions, he helped me to know myself better. He was a wonderful human being and the best friend I ever had. I will miss everything about him.

There are no words to express the sadness I feel. Jeff and I met in August of 1979 at Grapevine High School...We eventually became best friends. We took many trips to the Texas Coast and Lake Grapevine was a second home for us. We worked together, grew up together, and shared many of the same struggles in our lives...Anyone who met Jeff, loved him. He was always a voice of reason in my life, stressing getting along and forgiveness. Jeff loved music as well, we hit many concerts throughout our friendship. There are so many funny stories I could share..His attempt at teaching me to sail on Lake Grapevine comes to mind...HIs compassion for animals is unmatched. Recall going with him to euthanize a family dog . We gave the dog her favorite thing, chocolate , and there wasn 't a dry eye to be found...There isn't a dry eye to be found among Jeff's family and friends. I have missed him a long time. My prayer is he is at peace as he sails to the heavens..I love him...
