James McNutt Obituary

James Leon McNutt, 74, our hero, went for his final flight to be with God on Thursday, October 22, 2015. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: In accordance with the decendents' wishes, there will be no visitation prior to the funeral service. Memorials: Northwest Church of Christ in Lake Worth. James was born on August 12, 1941, to James and Helen McNutt. He was one of five children. James was a proud Marine and during his service to America, he served three tours of duty in Vietnam. There, he flew rescue missions over enemy territory. He saved many American lives doing this. His only employers were the Marines, American Airlines and Boeing Company. He was a faithful member of the Northwest Church of Christ in Lake Worth. He made and kept many friends and was a good friend. James was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Brenda Sims. Survivors: His loving wife, Susan; daughters, Sherrie Franklin and husband, Brian, Lynette Parman and husband, Rich; stepdaughters, Cress Ann Posten and husband, Larry, and Connie Ball; adored grandchildren, Andrew Coleman, Wesley Lynch and wife, Ashley, Kalen Mills and wife, Alysia, Matthew Posten and wife, Jennifer, Josh Posten and wife, Joelle; granddaughters, Emily Ball, Ami Bollinger and Olivia Pruess; beloved great-grandchildren, Samson Mills, Braden and Elaina Posten, and the great-grandbaby he ordered and adored, Leah Lynch, daughter of Wesley and Ashley Lynch; siblings, Betty Petrek, Judy Beaty and husband, Frank, and Wayne McNutt; many nieces and nephews. Semper Fi, Marine.

Betty, Judy, and Wayne: I hope you get this. I am so sorry about Leon. I have fond memories of him. I remember his laughter and smile. I just found out today.
