Louise E. Casey

Louise Elder Casey, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home with burial following in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Louise was born in Hope, Ark., on July 19, 1929, to William Thomas and Eva Lorene Elder. Louise graduated from Southwestern Assembly of God College with a BA and from Texas Wesleyan with a master's degree. Louise was a longtime public educator serving 26 years in the H-E-B ISD. She was a volunteer for many organizations spending 18 years at HEB Harris Hospital. In 2008, she was Volunteer of the Year for the city of Hurst where she received a key to the city. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Casey; her parents; and all eight siblings. Survivors: Her children, Elaine Mueller and husband, David, Beverly Casey, and Richard Casey and wife, Susan. She has a total of 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
