Keith Goldhardt Obituary

GOLDHARDT Keith Goldhardt, age 63, passed away at the Kobacker House on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Keith was born in Columbus to the late Donald and Patty Goldhardt. He was a graduate of Pleasant View High School, class of 1965, and later attended Southern Ohio College. As a young man, he served his country by joining the US Coast Guard. He was former employee of National City Bank and James Lang LaSalle. Keith had a passion for helping people; he will always be remembered for his efforts to make his community a better place for his friends and neighbors. He loved gardening and was especially proud of his "giant" tomatoes. Keith was an avid Buckeye fan, who loved watching the games on his "Buckeye porch." His family will truly miss his quiet strength, companionship and love. Keith was a member of the Grove City Masonic Lodge No. 689, Columbus Garden Railway Society, Men's Auxiliary V.F.W. Post 7005, American Legion Post #164, Franklin County Board of Zoning Appeals and Ohio Township Association. He was also a Pleasant Township Trustee for the past 15 years. Keith is survived by his loving wife, Patty; sons, Scott (Tracy) Goldhardt and Martin Crago; daughter, Mendy (Burns Jr.) Mollette; grandchildren, Samantha, Scott and Nathan; brother, Mark (Karen) Goldhardt; aunts, Shelia Bateman, Maxine Geddes and Kay Clay; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to HomeReach Hospice and the 8th floor, Orange surgery doctors and nurses. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2010. Pastor Larry Baker officiating. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday 26, 2010 at the Chapel. Patty - Keith was a big part of all the fun we had at the old Operations Center especially planning the BBQs on the Blacktop year after year. Sure do miss that.....and I sure will miss Keith. He will stay with me in my memories of that time. He was always in a pleasant mood and great to run into to have a friendly chat or a laugh for the day. As long as I've worked @ NCB/PNC, Keith has always been there. What I wonderful man,a real gentleman. There are lots of nice thinks I could say about him. He is going to be missed very much, you still except to see him in hall, lunch & etc. Patty & family my prayers are with you. And God Bless & be with you during this time of sorrow. We'll have to have one of those famous cookouts he did @ NCB once we get to the streets of Gold.

I worked with Keith for almost 11 years and he was a wonderful man who was always willing to help when needed. He was jovial and pleasant and loved to tell stories about his experiences with family, home, work and his political career. He truly cared about his family, friends and community.
