Ben Colegrove Obituary

COLEGROVE Ben Colegrove Jr., age 67, of Plain City, passed away Monday, June 2, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church of Hilliard. He was a retired truck driver for McMillen Paving, member of West Jefferson V.F.W., and The Eagle's Lodge of West Jefferson. Ben was an avid Muscle car and Coupe collector and enjoyed restoring them. Preceded in death by his loving wife Charlotte, parents Ben Sr. and Martha Colegrove, 4 sisters and 4 brothers. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce (Marti) Colegrove of Plain City, Larry (Holly) Colegrove of Marysville, and Ben (Tracey) Colegrove III of Buckeye Lake; daughter and son-in-law, Kim (Tim) Greer of Southfield, OH; sisters, Sarabell, Geneva, and Mattie; brother, J.T. (JoAnn) Colegrove of Hilliard; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; step-daughters, Janet and Veronica of West Jefferson; special friend, Jim Newsome; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Charlie Wylie officiating. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
