William Remsen Obituary

William "Bill" Remsen

William "Bill" Remsen, age 83 of Murfreesboro, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011.

He was native of Angelica, NY and lived there until he joined the U.S. Army, and later the U.S. Air Force. After 20 years of service, he retired from the Air Force, and was owner and operator of Heat and Air Repair Service in Murfreesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Binns Remsen, and one son, Thomas Remsen.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wanda Remsen; daughters, Pam Rowlette of Murfreesboro, Mindy Davis and her husband Dr. Kelly Davis of Arkansas; grandchildren, Jennifer Allen and husband Seth, Lee Smith, Kelly Davis; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Wil Allen; brothers, John Remsen and wife Dee of Florida, Steve Remsen and wife Kathy of North Carolina; sisters, Ann Voss of New York, Mary O'Malley of New Jersey, Dorothy Remsberg of Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Remsen to Community Care of Rutherford County.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, with Military Rites. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, (615) 893-5151; www.woodfinchapel.com

I wwill always count it a priviledge to have known and worked with Bill. He cared for his customers and was very proud of his family. He was definitely one of a kind, a hard working caring man. I pray his memory will be a strength and guide for you in the days and months ahead.
