Condolences to the Decoste family on your recent loss. I just discovered this evening that I am related to Frederick through my maternal grandmother, Ella Decoste.

Dear Lynn
So sorry to hear of Ted's passing. It seems like just a short time ago that Ted and I were in law school at the University of Saskatchewan. Ted had an excellent career and shaped the minds and careers of many young lawyers. His legacy will live on!

Dear Lynn and family:
Irene and I are thinking of you and send you our deepest sympathies. Ted was a good friend and colleague for many years. We are so sorry we cannot be there to remember Ted and share our memories of him with you, but our thoughts are with you. Ted will be sorely missed.

Fred DeCoste taught me Foundations of Law at the U of A. I was randomly assigned to his class, which turned out to be the most unconventional of all the Foundations classes.
He was a hilarious and thought-provoking professor. Even though we disagreed about a lot, he was a major influence on the way I view the law and the role of lawyers. I truly respected him and appreciate everything he taught me and our whole class.
