We are so sorry to read about Walter's passing... Dave worked with him at Twin Star Auto Body and we just hooked up with him when Mary passed away... We were going to get together for a game of golf... We will certainly miss his wonderful stories and laughs... Our deepest condolence for the family.. We were gone south for the winter and was just going to call him...

So sorry to hear of Walter's passing. There is a lovely poem called " The Dash" and when I heard from Andrew that Walter was gone, that was immediately came to mind. Walter lived his 'dash' completely. God Bless him, and my condolences to all the family. You were his life. With my deepest sympathy.

Dear Members of Walters Family:
I was saddened to see in the paper the picture of Walter and his 0bituarie.I have not seen Walter for maybe close to fifty years. However I do remember well when I was maybe 11 or 12 years old.I was born and raised on a Dairy Farm west of St.Albert and when World War II was finally ended there were Young Polish Soilders who came to Canada to seek a new life. My parents had several of them come to work on our farm and Walter was one of them.He was a very likeable young man and a terrific worker. He left our Farm to work at the Hatchery in St. Albert. A few years later he owned or managed a service station between St. Albert and Edmonton and I saw him there a few times. Then the years went by and my wife and Family bought a farm by Millet.I see he had a stepson Bill Kaklin and I do remember another young man also came to work on our farm by the name of Bill Kaklin. (I belive his name was Bill)Later we heard he lost his life in an accident and I am wondering if this was the same person. Anyhow the announcement did really stir my memory.and I am sorry I was not able to attend the funeral. The picture of Walter caught my eye right off and we must find solace in the fact that he did get to be 90 years of age. I wish I had been able to keep some contact over the years but we get very busy and the years go by. May The Love Of An All Knowing and Compassionate God Be Sufficient To Sustain You All. And of course you have your memories.
Most Sincerely:
Harry Pedersen

Thank you, Betty, for filling me in on Walter's last days. It means alot to me. I am thankful to the Lord that you, Joe and your children were able to spend such quality time with both Walter and Mary in their final years. What a wonderful blessing you were to them. May God be with you in the days ahead as you adjust to his absence. His jovial nature and fun-ness will certainly be missed ... and I will miss hearing his booming voice and laughter coming from across the field. Love, Carolyn
