While I met Paul late in his life, I will always remember walking with him around the neighborhood. He was never at a loss to tell a great story. He helped me through a tough time in my life more than anyone will ever know. I just learned of his passing and my prayers are with Claudia and his family.

Just learned of Paul's passing back in December 2014, Claudia. I am shocked. I figured he'd live forever. Which he will as far as I'm concerned. Talk about heroes, he was mine since I was a freshman at Ysleta High School. He was a senior. I really miss him. My deepest heartfelt condolences to you and your children, to the entire family. Sincerely, Jake D. Sitters, Castroville TX

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Paul grew up in a small Texas city and went on to fame in the NFL. He was my landlord when I started my medical practice in El Paso in 1979. He downplayed his prior accomplishments and preferred to make NEW history every day of his life. Lloyd J. Krapin, M.D.

Claudia, and all the Family,
My deepest heart felt sympathies. Paul was truly the funniest, and nicest man I have ever known. He is someone I looked up to, and admired very much. They don't make men like him anymore. I have great memories of the times we spent together.
