Dear Calnan family:
We are saddened to learn of Dan's death. I remember Dan's father and brother in their little store. Their friendship and guidance was always appreciated. The entire family should be very proud of heritage and reputation you built over the years in B'ville. I hope you will celebrate Dan's life remembering his laugh, and telling stories of fun times past.We send our sincere love and prayers to all

Darlin' Heart was my second dad. His advice to ML and me when we went off to OSU was "don't take any wooden nickels". Didn't have a clue what he meant, but we learned soon enough. Thank you Mary Lu for sharing Darlin' Heart with me on Dad's day. Thinking of all of you and the wonderful memories we had thru high school and college. Hugs to all!

I have fond memories of playing golf with Dan on Sundays out at Sunset with Don and my dad back in the 70's. Dan was always very friendly and, although I was just a kid back then, seemed to go out of his way to make me feel like "one of the guys". I am saddened to learn of his passing, and offer my sympathies to Don and the rest of the family.
