Frances Brunsteter Obituary

Frances M. Brunsteter, age 90 and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at her home.
Frances Marie Elizabeth Davis was born on October 27, 1925 in Bartlesville. She was the daughter of Thomas Taylor Davis and Sophia Emma Carolyn (Deitz) Davis. She grew up in Bartlesville where she received her education, graduating high school from College High.
On December 17, 1946, Frances and Galen ""Bud"" Brunsteter were united in marriage in Bartlesville. In 1960, the family moved to El Paso, Texas. In 1975, they moved to Oklahoma City before moving back to Bartlesville in the late 70s.
While in El Paso, Frances was employed as an elementary and high school clerk in the El Paso Independent School District. Also, for many years she and Bud owned the B&B Radiator business in Bartlesville where they worked together, and Frances was the bookkeeper. She and Bud were married for almost 70 years before she preceded him in death.
Frances was a member of First Christian Church, Bartlesville. She and Bud were members of a square dance club, as they loved to square dance. They also loved camping and traveling in their RV. She was known for her cooking, especially Pineapple Jell-O Salad. However, time spent with her family was the most important thing for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James ""Jimmy"" Eugene Brunsteter; granddaughter, Patricia Miller; half-sister, Nedra Petty; and sister, Mary Ellen Butcher.
She is survived by her husband, Bud, of the family home; children, Nancy Brunsteter-Diaz and her husband, Dr. Jose Diaz, of El Paso, and son, Tom Brunsteter and his wife, Deborah, of rural Sedan, Kansas; brother, Thomas Davis and his wife, Elizabeth, of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and nine grandchildren, Joshua Witwiski, Blake Witwiski, Melissa Prado, Joel Diaz, Rachael Doddato, Rhiannon Cook, Mallary Cline, Taylor Brunsteter and Angel Miller; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Come and go visitation was held on Sunday from 1:00-6:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM-8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave.
Graveside services for Mrs. Brunsteter were held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Bartlesville. Rev. Joe Colaw will officiate.
Honorary Pallbearers were D. J. and Rose Just, Scott and Shelly DuCharme, Paul Fox, Gail Greenwood and Frank Buford.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation at www.sjogrens.org (6707 Democracy Blvd., Suite 325, Bethesda, Maryland 20817).
Arrangements were under the direction of the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.

I am so sorry for your loss. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow "May the God who gives hope fill your family with all joy and peace by your trusting in him, so that you may abound in hope" of one day seeing your loved one again. Rom. 15:13.

Mrs. Brunsteter was a most loving, kind, and patient of Moms. In growing up with her daughter, Nancy, Frances was always welcoming of me, took an interest in my life and activities, and as time marched on, how my husband and family were doing. I will always remember Frances for her lovely smile and gentle nature and sense of humor. Frances' spirit lives on in the great love and hearts of her husband Bud, daughter Nancy, son Tom, their families, and all of us who had the privilege of knowing her. Mrs. B, you will be missed yet never forgotten. With much love, Karen (Thomas) Williams
