When I was in the fourth grade growing up in Bartlesville, OK, I was a non-functioning Presbyterian. I would frequently spend the night with a friend of mine. On Sundays, I went to St. Luke's Chruch, where Fr. Rodgers was the rector, with him and his family. Within a year my family and I were confrimed in the Episcopal Church, and we became very active in church activities. In fact, Fr. Rodgers had more influence on me growing up than any other person besides my parents. I will always remember this great man and the impact he had on my life. I also continue to be amazed by his Sunday schedule: four services with two different acolyte groups, the adult Sunday School class, and two youth groups.
