Bennie Booker Obituary
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at the Royer Funeral Home, 101 S.E. 15th St., Oak Grove, MO 64075. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2001 S. Broadway St., Oak Grove. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Bennie was born October 13, 1938, in Kennett, Mo., to James D. and Vevia (Johnson) Booker. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Bennie retired from Lake City Ammunition Plant after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and one grandson.
Bennie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jerry (Barnett) Booker; two sons, Ron (Lenora) Booker and Wes (Karen) Booker; one daughter, Cindy (Jim) Johnson; one brother, Marley (Annette) Booker; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
