Schaefer, Esther A.

Esther A. Schaefer, age 99, formerly of 366 Grove St., Mayville, WI, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Mayville Nursing & Rehab Center, Mayville, WI.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, with the Rev. James Mallmann and Rev. Sean Willman officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 30th from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Mayville, WI.

Esther was born the daughter of William & Hilda (Schwantes) Weber on January 9, 1914 in Tn. Herman. She was united in marriage to Delmar A. Schaefer on April 14, 1934 in Horicon.

Esther was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Mayville. She was also a member of St. John Ladies Aid. Esther enjoyed time spent cooking & sewing.

Esther is survived by: 1 son Robert "Bumpy" (Carol) Schaefer of Neshkoro; 1 daughter JoAnn Meister of Minoqua; 1 sister-in-law Ardis (Milton) Quandt of Woodland; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by; her parents; her husband Delmar in 1996; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; 1 grandson Robert.

Memorials may be directed to St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Mayville.
