Robert Moore Obituary


Robert Moore, of Palm Bay, FL died Friday, June 3, 2011 of cancer. He was born in Washington D.C. April 3, 1935 to Robert W., Sr. and Catherine Moore as the oldest of 5 children.

Bob served 22 years in the District of Columbia Fire Department where he retired as 3rd Battalion Fire Chief. He also retired from the U.S. Navy Reserve after 23 years of service in 1976 as a Chief Electricians mate.

He was a kind and considerate man who was often described as a Gentleman. He loved Florida and enjoyed visits from his family.

Bob is survived by his sons, Rick (Debbie), Rob (Sandy) and Rusty (Kristie); 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; as well as his sisters, Ginny, Suzie, and Katie; and brother, Wayne.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 8th, 10:00 a.m. at the William Childs Hospice House.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the William Childs Hospice House, 381 Medplex Pkwy., Palm Bay, FL 32907, in memory of Robert Moore.

Sorry for your loss, we used to live next door at 1936 sundew ct. before we moved in Jan. 2005. We took in Bob during the hurricanes that hit us in Sept. 2004 so he wasn't alone during the storm. Bob was a good neighbor and we will always keep him fondly in our thoughts. We just found out about his passing. Eileen and Jim
