Frank Reiners Obituary
Family will greet friends on Thursday (April 7) from 4-6 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 6 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St., Newark. Private burial will take place in East Newark Cemetery.
In memory of Frank please consider donations to the VFW Honor Guard, 225 East Union St., Newark, NY 14513.
Frank was born the son of the late Harry B. and Jane (Muir) Reiners on Sunday, August 18, 1935, in Newark, N.Y. He attended Newark High School and after school he joined the U.S. Navy. He was a recipient of the Korean Service Medal, Engagement Stars K-9 & K-10 Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, China Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Frank retired in 1993 from Mobil Chemical – Plastics Div. after 34 years of service. He had a very strong work ethic, believing if a job was worth doing it was worth doing right. This work ethic was instilled onto his children and grandchildren. He and his wife purchased a home in Bushnell, Fla., and enjoyed their winters there. Frank loved the outdoors and greatly enjoyed hunting.
The funeral home proudly flies the Navy flag in honor of his service to our country during Korea.
Frank will be loving remembered by his wife of 46 years, Alison "Allie" (Jones) Reiners; son Michael Reiners of Va.; daughters Debra (Terry) Clark and Jennifer Reiners, both of Newark; grandchildren Willie and Nikki Clark, Cory and Sean Reiners and Rachel and Courtney Malfatti; sister-in-law Lorraine Reiners; many nieces and nephews.
Frank was predeceased by his brothers Harry F., Bill, Carl and Herb Reiners; sisters Mary Smith and Martha Ashley.
