JAMES BEAUCHOT Obituary

JAMES E. "JIM" BEAUCHOT, 85, of Monroeville, Inc., died unexpectedly on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, 11:02 a.m., at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born Aug. 13, 1931, in Mon-roeville, Ind., he was a son of the late Clarence "Jack" Beauchot and Elizabeth (Westrick) Beauchot. Jim was an honorably discharged veteran, serving in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jim was united in marriage to Mary "Rosie" Ferraiolo on Feb. 16, 1957, at St. Rose Catholic Church. Jim was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Monroeville and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 420 in Monroeville. Jim was employed at International Harvester, Fort Wayne, retiring in 1983. Jim was also the longtime manager of the American Legion Post 420 in Monroeville. In his life, Jim was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed playing cards. Being involved with his family was a central part of Jim's life. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Rosie Beauchot of Monroeville, Ind.; daughter, Judy (Charles) Irvin of Fort Wayne; son, Gary (Rebecca) Beauchot of Monroeville, Ind.; daughters, Laurie (Kip) Amstutz and Karen (Robert) Hoffman of Fort Wayne; son, Mark (Susie) Beauchot of Fort Wayne; daughters, Linda (Joe) Martin of Monroeville, Ind. and Lisa (Andy) Police of New Haven, Ind.; brothers, Robert (Kathy) Beauchot of Monroeville, Ind., Clarence Joseph (Josey) Beauchot of Decatur, Ind., Joseph Beauchot and Gene (Jane) Beauchot of Monroeville, Ind.; 20 grandchildren, Stephanie Kline, Jake Irvin, Brooke Hoverman, Daisy Beauchot, Samuel Beauchot, Jack Beauchot, Hilary Motta, Aubrey Curtis, Luke Hoffman, Robin McCollum, Leah Fultz, Samantha Hoffman, Andrea Hoffman, Adam Beauchot, Jessica Beauchot, Andrew Martin, Alex Martin, Evan Martin, Joselyn Martin, and Lucy Police; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two sons, James Joseph Beauchot and John Philip Beauchot; four sisters, Kayte Grabner, Carolyn Blauvelt, Theresa Beauchot, and Sharon Wenger. A prayer service is 9:20 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, 111 South Water St,. Monroeville, Ind. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2016 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Monroeville. Father Lourdino Fernandes officiating. Visitation is from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, at the funeral home, with a Rosary service at 4 p.m. Burial in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville, with Military graveside services provided by the American Legion and V.F.W.
