Herbert Smith Obituary
Herbert was born on Jan. 24, 1929, in Deerfield, the son of Herbert C., Sr. and Grace (Cilley) Smith.
Herb served in the Marines during the Korean War and was employed for many years as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Helen; his son, Jamie and his wife, Tammy Smith of Lee; his daughter, Mary of New Hampshire and daughters, Patty and Joannie of Florida; his stepdaughter, Deborah McKinstry of Bedford, and his stepsons, Gary McKinstry of Florida, Patrick McKinstry of Texas and William McKinstry of Idaho; his brother, Alfred, and sisters, Marie and Joann of Nottingham; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, Timothy, of Barrington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hyder House, 285 County Farm Road, Dover, NH 03820.
A small private family service is being held.
Arrangements are under the direction of Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Road, Lee.

Herb-
It is hard to believe you are gone. You seemed like you would be here for ever. Hayden and Felicia miss you so much, you were such a constant part of their lives. Jamie and I will help keep your memory alive for them of the fun, tractor ride giving grandfather who adored them so much.

Grandpa Herbie,my best memories are at your house with uncle Jamie and Rosco,playing on the hill or at round pound...and when ever i get home sick all i have to do is remember the love and good times we all use to have. I will see you soon and give uncle Timmy a big bear hug for me.
