Howard S. Chick Jr.

ELIOT, Maine - Howard S. Chick Jr., 87, died Sunday August 10, 2014 at Durgin Pines Long Term Care with his family.

He was born August 31, 1926 in Eliot, Maine the son of Howard and Dorothy (Dixon) Chick.

He made his home in Eliot, with his wife Virginia Chick, for 47 years before retiring to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1999. He returned to Maine to be with family following the death of his wife in 2006. Howard worked for many years at Clarostat in Dover. He was a veteran of the United States Army and Air Force.

He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years Virginia M. (Donnell) Chick and his parents.

Howard is survived by a brother Hollis Chick and several nieces and nephews

Services will be held at Eliot Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 15th. Burial will be Friday at 1:15 p.m.at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Eliot, Maine. Arrangements are by McIntire-McCooey Funeral Home 301 Main St., South Berwick, Maine.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society 1 Bowdoin Mill Island Suite 300 Topsham, Maine 04086.
