It was a privelage to know Sister Mary Bernadette. When I moved to Emmitsburg 20 years ago, she was one of the first people I met. She always had a smile and kind words whenever I saw her. She will be missed.

I looked forward to working with Sister Mary Bernadette at Montevue Home each week. Her mini-services were most inspirational to all, even we volunteers who assisted her. I remember the residents being very disappointed when she could not be there for whatever reason. She was certainly a wonderful person and will have a special place in Heaven!

I remember Sister Mary Bernadette being a regular visitor to the sick and elderly of Citizens (when it was Citizens Nursing Home) and I remember all the comfort and care she would share, whether the person was Catholic, a family member, staff, or just someone in need of her advice, or a warm smile.
