Nathan Gargus Obituary
Mr. Gargus had retired from the Steel Plant in Gadsden after 30 years of service. He was a lifelong carpenter and cabinet maker.
He was preceded in death by his son, Chad Gargus; parents, Thurston and Jessie Mae Gargus; brothers, Leon and Larry Dale Gargus.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Phyllis Holcomb Gargus; daughter, Millie Gargus Seahorn (Joe Bouldin); son, Eric Gargus (April); grandchildren, Mallory Hathcock, Shawn Hopper, Maegan Coley (Lee), Dalton Gargus (Katie Leslie), Mollie Pickard and Justin Pickard; four great-grandchildren; sister, Mavis Andrews; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Hopper, Dalton Gargus, Justin Pickard, Josh Gargus, Marshall Mardis and Jake Gargus.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends and family.
Special thanks to Gallant Volunteer Fire and Rescue, the nurses and staff of Riverview Regional Medical Center; Dr. Luis Urbina, Dr. Webb Sledge and Dr. Jeremy Goodwin.
The family will accept flowers, or memorials may be made to Sonrise Bible Church, 1364 South Main Street, Boaz, AL 35956.
