LENAH ARRINGTON Obituary
Lenah Wesley Arrington, age 87, Alachua, FL, passed away on May 11, 2011. He was born on August 25, 1923 in Trenton, Florida to Willie Eugene and Jennie Laura Gay Arrington.
Mr. Arrington joined the Navy in 1941 and proudly served 6 years active duty during World War II. He also served in the Active Naval Reserve for a number of years. He grew up in Levy County and moved back to Alachua County following his military service. Mr. Arrington retired from the Alachua County Sheriff's office. He enjoyed stock car racing.
He is preceded by his wife, Murline Harris Arrington and brother, Alston William Arrington. Mr. Arrington is survived by daughters; Sandra (Malone) Vincent, Gainesville, FL., Reginia (David) Beck, Alachua, FL., grandson; Duane "Scooter" Dees, Alachua, FL., brothers; Bruce Sidney (Joyce) Arrington, Chiefland, FL. Robert Lloyd (Mary) Arrington, Trenton, FL. and Billy Weeks Arrington, Lake City, FL.
A private Graveside Service with military honors will be held at High Springs Cemetery with Rev. Glen Busby officiating. Arrangements are under the care of WILLIAMS-THOMAS

Arrington Family,I worked with Mr Arrington at the Sheriffs Office in Civil. Your dad was a very caring and wonderful person to be around. I feel blessed to have known him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I got the message on my answering machine and it was just as difficult to receive, as I'm sure it was to send..................I would be hard pressed to find another friend as he was to me................He was my 'racing' buddy and my best friend.
