John Linn Obituary
J.W. was a student at Alpine Autism Center and volunteered at The ARC Pikes Peak Region, Marian House, and the Ronald McDonald House. He loved the outdoors and was a regular hiker at Garden of the Gods Park. He was a sweet soul with a zest for life despite battling autism and epilepsy for many years.
He leaves behind his loving parents John and Michelle; brother Joshua; aunts Cherise Heinen (Matt) of Colorado Springs, CO; Lynn Urbanic (Mark) of Medina, OH; Sherri Stehlik (Art) of Lakewood, OH; Lori Cole (Greg) of Broadview Heights, OH; Holly Kimm (Gary) of McKinney, TX; and Katie Holland (Joe) of Fairfield, CT. He is also survived by Grandmothers Marlene Kason (George) of Port Clinton, OH; and Dianne Atkins (Jim) of Port Richey, FL.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers John R. Linn and William J. Miller.
Our family would like to thank the ICU Nurses at Penrose Main Hospital for their professional and loving care of J.W. during his final days. You helped us immeasurably during this difficult time.
A celebration of J.W.'s life will take place on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Alpine Autism Center, 2760 Fieldstone Rd, Colorado Springs, CO, 80919.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alpine Autism Center at www.alpineautismcenter.org

We found out about JW's passing a couple of months ago, and are overwhelmed with sadness for all of you. We loved meeting, and getting to know your remarkable family. We cherish our friendship with you, but know a most sweet part of your lives is gone from this earth. We know also that only God can help ease the pain and sorrow of JW's passing. Coming over to Hike Garden of the Gods with JW and Brother Joshua was one of my favorite things. JW kept me on my toes he was so fast. I miss those hikes.

J.W. was one of the sweetest individuals I worked with in my career. I really learned how to love a student where they are at by working with him. I am saddened to hear of his passing and wish his family comfort during this huge change.

I was very fortunate to have meet and work with JW. He was an amazing soul who was without a doubt a true pleasure to work with. I was so lucky to have had the chance to spend quality one on one time with JW, twice in one week, on a couple of outings. One of those outings to the Ronald McDonald House. I have never had the chance to do as such, and symbolically I did during his last week at Alpine. Heaven has a brand new very special angel. Much condolences to the Linn family.
