Kit was an extraordinary lady with grace and poise. She had lived a good life, enjoyed being around people, and always was available to help with any task. She enjoyed helping with events at Faith Presbyterian Church. Joyce Vernon

Still in disbelief, as Kit was an "extended family" member since 2003. Here's a thought.. a way to honor Kit in a way I know she would LOVE: Do a "Pay it Forward" or Random act of Kindness when you think of her. What a beautiful way to continue her legacy of making a difference in the lives of others. Rest in Peace, dear lady... you are greatly missed.

I met Kit at a business networking event, when I moved to Colorado Springs in 1997. From the moment I met her, I liked her ...how could you not! She was one of the most positive and upbeat people I've known in my lifetime. Over the past 14 years, I've been privileged to call her a friend. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and the entire community. God Bless You, Kit.

It was always a pleasure to go into Kit's store and just talk with her. She always treated all the ball players like we were part of her family even though we played against The All American Team. What makes this so difficult for us that knew Kit is that she never had a bad thing to say about anyone or would ever consider hurting anyone or anything. It was a pleasure knowing her and she made Colorado Springs a better place to live while I was there. Rest in peace Kit. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Kit worked at the Corps of Engineers as an executive secretary in 1974/1975 time frame and was a joy to be around. She left and started the All American Sports Store but kept in touch with the employees. Our son, Gary A. worked for her for two years while in the screen printing while attending highschool. She was loved by many people. She had a twinkle in her eyes and zest for life that will be sadly missed. May she rest in peace and our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Kit and I often planned trips to Texas, when we served as Greeters together at Faith. Due to schedules we were only able to make one car trip before I moved back to Texas. I shall miss her smile which was always available. My deepest sympathy to her family.
