It is difficult to put into words how Steave Barness affected everyone who had the joy of meeting him and loving him and Karen, Miranda, and Caden. I will never forget his kindness and support in the time I spent with Caden. He made me feel like family. Steave left a large imprint on my life and my heart. He lived for his family and lived his life to the fullest. You will be missed my friend!

We will miss Steave and his infectious spirit. I sat next to him at Club Management school and we competed over grades. Bill taught the class and remained in contact with him over his career. He is really sad that they never made to trip to Sturgis together. He was a truly wonderful man and will be missed. Our condolences Karen to the family.

When some men die it is as if you had lost your pen-knife, and were subject to perpetual inconvenience until you could get another. Other men's going is like the vanishing of a great mountain from the landscape, and the outlook of life is changed forever. Our landscape is changed forever Steave, because you were one of those MOUNTAINS.

We are close to Steave as he was the same age as our first born and closest neighbors here in Spink county South Dakota. I enjoyed hunting and fishing in Canada with him and his Dad Bob and admired him and his successful career and exemplatory life. Harvey Wollman,

Steave stood up for us when we were married. He also spent our first wedding anniversary with us. He bought us a small cake and celebrated with us. He was quite a character. In school and was great at making people smile. He was part of Centrals tumbling team and always there for his friends. Steave you left this earth way too soon. Prayers go out to his family.

Steave stood up for us in 1980. He also spent our first wedding anniversary with us. We lived in Gillette WY at the time and he bought us a small cake so he could celebrate with us. He was a character in high school and he could always make you smile. Steave you left this world way too soon. Prayers for his family. Sherri Jensen class of 1980.
