Grace Steffens Obituary
Great Falls —Grace E. Steffens, 83, Great Falls passed away February 23, 2015 of natural causes.
Grace was born Sept. 13, 1931 in Great Falls to Thomas and Lena Marie (DeCarlo) Maurantonio. Following her education in Simms, MT, Grace went to work as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell. She met and married Gordon Steffens in Great Falls and stayed at home to raise her family. After her children were raised she went back to work with the telephone company until the early 1980's.
Grace was a devoted and lifelong member of St. Luke's Catholic Church and involved with the altar society. She was an avid bowler and bowled with a couple of different teams. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and baking but her first LOVE was spending time with her family.
Grace leaves behind a daughter Shirley (Gary) Sullivan; two sons Tom and Joe (Nancy) Steffens all of Great Falls; three brothers, Mike Maurantonio of Manchester, Joe Maurantonio of Great Falls, and Nick Maurantonio of Billings, seven grandchildren and three great grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Steffens; daughter Angie Hawks; and three sisters, Rosie Dector, Katherine Tabaracci, and Stella Maurantonio.
Viewing will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel with entombment to follow in the family crypt. Memorials to Peace Hospice are suggested.

So sorry to read that Gracie passed. I always enjoyed visiting with her while at Highgate seeing my Mom(Maribell). Didn't know her long but she was so friendly, soft spoken, sweet and always had a smile. I'll miss seeing her. All her family are in our thoughts and prayers.
