James Prevost Obituary

James J. Prevost, 81, Green Bay, laid to rest early Wednesday morning, Dec. 14, 2011. Born April 30, 1930, in Champion, he is the son of the late Abel and Emma (Bourniville) Prevost. Jim faithfully served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a long time employee of James River Paper Mill for over 40 years, retiring in 1992. Jim was an avid participant in harness racing for over 50 years.

Jim is survived by five children, Betty Prevost, Cindy Noack, Mary Greenfield, Judy Klarner, and Mark Prevost, all of Green Bay; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; three sisters, Jeanne Graume, Inez Dommer, and Grace (Jeff) Koehler, three brothers, Rick Prevost, Carl Prevost, and Jeff (Laura) Prevost, all of Green Bay area; friend and mother of his children, Eunice Prevost; nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Clayton and Merlin Prevost; and his long standing significant other, Margie Claussen.

Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation to continue Saturday morning at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1307 Lourdes Avenue in De Pere, from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. at church with the Rev. Timothy D. Shillcox, O. Praem officiating. Military honors to follow the Mass. Burial in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.

Jim's family extends a special thank you to Angel's Touch, Heartland Hospice and Wayne Evraets.
