Audrey Weidner Obituary

Audrey (Schauer) Weidner, 60, was welcomed to eternal life on Monday afternoon, February 20, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 30, 1951 in Green Bay to the late Joseph and Marcella Schauer.

Audrey graduated from St. Kilian's Elementary (New Franken) in 1965 and from Preble High School (Green Bay) in 1969.

Audrey worked for Fort Howard Paper Company for 25 years where she ran and helped maintain a variety of machines. Recently she was employed at St. Vincent Hospital working in various areas of their food industry.

Audrey enjoyed traveling, taking trips to places in Wisconsin and neighboring states. She also liked to go camping with family and friends.

Some of her hobbies included crocheting, reading and watching movies. She was a valued member of St. Mary of the Angels choir where her alto was a great asset to the choir.

Audrey's greatest love was her loving and close family. She was a dear sister, aunt and friend. Audrey's capacity to love and give to her family was limitless and unending. She cherished the time with her nieces and nephews and their children. In her final years, Audrey chose to live with and help care for her beloved Aunt Dorothy.

Audrey is survived by her brothers and sisters, Elaine Piontek, Green Bay; Judy Fuchs, Green Bay; Don (Debbie) Schauer, Pembine; Karen (Larry) Waskow, Neenah; Diane (Jim) Peotter, New Franken; Mike (Nancy) Schauer, Shawano; Marlene (Randy) Strebel, New Franken. She is further survived by her very special aunt, Dorothy Schauer, and many other aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, relatives, and special friends Leanne Snell and Bonnie Homan.

In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her brother Steven Schauer, and infant twin brothers, Gerald and Jerome.

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish wake service 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 645 S. Irwin Ave., from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Patrick Gawrylewski, OFM officiating. Burial in the St. Kilian Church Cemetery. I have not experienced the kind of love that Audrey gave me except from my own Mom. Audrey was such a huge part of my life, not just my aunt but truely the best God mother any person could wish for. I loved her with my whole heart, and I miss her more than words can say! It has been 5 years since she entered eternal life with the Lord above, but I still mourn as if it was yesterday. I would give anything for one more of her warm hugs. I know she is in a better place and she is happy, but my selfish side wants her here with me! The special moments that she is not here for are almost unbearable. As long as I live a piece of my heart will be missing. I will love you forever and always Audrey, and you are missed EVERY DAY!

I had worked with Audrey many many years ago back at the Fort. After quitting she came back and I had a change to see her after so many years I hadn't seen her. She came over to my house about 7-8 years ago and at that time I dyed her hair and we had a very special time talking about old times. She was a very special lady. My condolences and prayers go out to all her family and friends. She will certainly be missed.

My special moments with Audry were the best kind between two women. The chuckles we recieved from people because of Our Amazing Talent of "Look-a-Like." Oh, the giggles we shared with a twinkle in our eyes. Audry and I had created a special bond of connection. I will greatly miss our conversations at family functions, her warm smile and genuine heart.

To the Family... My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Theresa Dreier
