James Seyler Obituary

Seyler, James L.

James L. Seyler, 74, Howard, died Tuesday, November 13, 2012. He was born September 6, 1938, in Green Bay, to Edward G. and Viola (Blodgett) Seyler. He graduated from Premontre High School in 1956. James married Nancy Aerts in 1958 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in De Pere. He served four years in the Air Force from 1956 to 1960. James was employed at Green Bay Packaging for 40 years. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. He also enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers, and his trips to the casino. James spent time helping others.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy (Aerts); his children, Nanette Stupecky, Neenah; Mark Seyler (Shan Shan), California; Lisa (Randy) Deviley, Suamico; Chris Seyler, Howard; his grandchildren, Jordan and Justin Stupecky, Jessica and Holly Seyler, Alex Smith and Jimmy Deviley; his brothers and sisters, Edward R. (Jackie) Seyler, John (Helen) Seyler, Mary Kummers (special friend, Bob Detrie), Carole Seyler, all of Green Bay; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jeanne Aerts, Jean Ann Aerts, Reuben Aerts, Shirley Aerts, Grace (Norb) Desotell, Eva (Jim) Schumerth; many nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis and Nancy Aerts; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marvin (Fern) (Chesterine), Victor, Earl, Adrian, Maxine and Edith Aerts, and George Kummers.

Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., Howard, from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Saddened to see this in the paper today. I was good buddies with Chris when we were youngsters and had great admiration for the entire family. Jim was a great guy and will be missed. My heart goes out to the entire family.
