The original "Clyde the Cougar". I was linked to Todd as a CofC graduate but also had the opportunity to call on him while I was in medical sales. What a great guy. He loved talking about CofC sports and his time at the college.

I just found Todd's obituary by chance, and have spent the day shocked and profoundly saddened by the belated news.
I went through anesthesia residency with Todd in the same "graduating class". I remember when he started dating Johnna and what an impact that made in his life, and what a fine person he was early on (what good folks they both were, individually and together).
While I haven't been a part of their lives for a long time, I am grateful that they seem to have shared so many years of love and blessings.
It's not every day that one can say that.
With love and prayers,

I knew Todd when he was a student at COC and MUSC with my son. He was so smart and talented. I felt I could call him when in need of medical advice about surgery I was having. He loved his family dearly and was passionate about his medical missions. His loss is felt by many whose lives he has touched. May God fill his family with loving memories to comfort them in their loss.

Back in 2003 Dr. Crowe was the one who stood by my side trying to help me decide what best to do for my dad who had a broken hip, congestive heart failure and COPD. My dad never wanted to be on life support but to help him breathe easier through the night, we decided to give him extra help for breathing. Dr. Crowe promised he would be there in the morning as my dad was waking to assure him the support was only temporary. True to his word he was there and explained to my dad. As my dad got a little better, he wanted to know "the name of the young man who helped him get through the night". He met Dr. Crowe and thanked him. From that time forward I have always asked that Dr. Crowe be the one to put me to sleep during the several surgeries I have had. Oconee Memorial can never replace him. Personally, I don't even ask now for a special person to be the one to put me to sleep. A friend and loving patient------------

Johanna, I have been searching for Todd's obituary after reading on fb of his death--and have just found it tonight. I am so very, very sorry for your loss--I remember his years at Mauldin HS and how he'd pop into my office--just to say hi--or to tell me something funny or ask a question. He was such a joy to know and he enjoyed life so much- I am not at all surprised to read the many things he achieved and the impact he had on so many lives. You are all in my thoughts and prayers--God's peace to you--sincerely, Bobbi Burns, MHS counselor

Vickie and I attended the service today. It was a lovely memorial to Todd. We appreciate the family naming Volunteers in Medical Missions to received memorials in Todd's name. He was a joy to work with at VIMM. He stopped going on trips a few years ago to spend more time with his family. I was thrilled to have him perform his magic at our 5K race fundraiser 2 years ago. He turned my husband, Fud, into a rabbit! We really appreciate all the support that he gave to VIMM. Our prayers will be with the family that God will give you the comfort that you need during this difficult time.

Prayers and hugs to the Crowe family. We are so sorry to hear about your loss. When my husband and I first went to Dr. Crowe, we instantly knew that this doctor wanted to help. We left that first office visit feeling like we finally found a doctor that truly cared and was going to make a difference. He had a sincere interest in my husband's pain and medical issues he was suffering with. Dr. Crowe was authentic, confident and encouraging with his words, and always greeted you with his smile. He not only made a difference physically, but also spiritually. Because of Dr. Crowe's compassion and concern for my husband, we now have a peace of mind together that was missing from our lives years ago. God bless Dr. Crowe and his family. He will be extremely missed.

Hello, Johnna and family, We were in the small group from Crosspoint with you when we lived in Clemson. One evening I recall in particular. Todd was one of the first to speak up, with something he wanted to share. I think Tyler was in middle school, and had just finished a football season that had not gone well. Johnna had made each of the boys on the team a goody bag, filled with different candies with a note that gave the significance of each one, like courage or perseverance. Tyler and Todd had not been too excited about her handing them out, as they thought the other guys wouldn't like them. But she did it, and the boys loved them. It was a real source of encouragement for them. I thought the story was neat, but I remember what really stood out to me was how proud Todd was of you, Johnna. He thought you had come up with an amazing idea, been brave enough to act on it, and he wanted us all to know what a special wife he had. We are so sorry for your loss, and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you grieve. With love, Mark and Patty Bogart

Johnna and family, As you can see from all the responses, Todd was truly a great man. One of the finest I have ever known and had the pleasure of working with. A heart as big as a mountain. One of the few doctors who still considered his job a calling from God. I will always miss him at work and will miss a true friend. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers and know that we all at Blue Ridge Orthopaedics loved Todd very much.

There are very few people who have made me smile EVERY time I've been around them, and Todd has been one of this select group since meeting him in medical school. Todd possessed a special ability to make us laugh with magic tricks, a joke, or by recounting a story from back in the day. I think beloved is the best word I can think of to describe him. Michelle and I will be praying for the entire Crowe family

I met Todd Crowe when he first came to work at Oconee Memorial Hospital, fresh-faced, enthusiastic, a little nervous... I worked in the Recovery Room with him and I always appreciated when he would listen and act on situations when I needed him... He proved himself time and again and gained the love and loyalty of all who knew him. He weathered some storms with his integrity intact, and I have enjoyed our friendship (and his pain management!!) through the years. He will be remembered for his intelligence, patience, empathy, deep abiding faith, love for his wife and family, magic tricks, and his sweet smiling face! How we will miss that! My thoughts and prayers are with his family, especially Johnna and kids... May the wonderful memories you have, and the sure knowledge that you will meet again, sustain you and give you peace...

I had the pleasure of being one of the Pain Center nurses and it was obvious from the beginning that Dr. Crowe was a special man of God. He treated his patients with compassion and respect always. During a difficult time in my life, Dr. Crowe prayed with me and for my family. I will never ever forget him and his kind spirit. You are healed now, Dr. Crowe, just like Jennifer is. Please tell her that her mom and dad love her and miss her very much. Until we meet again...love and peace.

Dear Johnna and children, We were so sad to hear the news of Dr. Crowe's passing. I never had the privilege of working alongside of him when he began his practice at Oconee as I was working at a different hospital. He did provide wonderful care to my husband,Mike, during his surgery for renal cancer. He immediately brought comfort to him as Mike was so anxious. You and your precious children will remain in our thoughts and prayers in the coming days! May God grant you peace and blessings in the days ahead!

Johnna, you swept Todd off his feet a little over 25 years ago and I will never forget that look in his eyes and grin on his face when speaking of you to us when he found you. He was just smitten! You have been the best friends anyone could ever have with your support and love down through the years; and even though our busy lives of raising our children and careers kept us from visiting much of the time, our hearts were still very closely connected and our voices just a phone call away to catch up. We are praying for you, Tyler, Anna Foster, Caroline, Ms. Crowe, Russ and his family, and your sisters and brother and their families; and all your friends who love you as much as we do and need comfort during this time. We are always here for you, Johnna. I pray that the Lord will give each of you the peace that passes all understanding as you learn to live life on earth without Todd. And we know that our time here is just a quick moment compared to the time we will one day have in heaven to be joined together again forever. I am thankful that Todd loved the Lord with all his heart and lived his life to show others the love of Jesus. Love always.

My thoughts and prayers are with Dr.Crowe's family and friends , I was one of those friends who got to know him at OMH , He would always meet me with a smile and talk or joke . He helped me so many times with prayer for my family or great idea's how to raise money to send my grandson Angelo to attend the national youth leadership forum of medicine. I have so many memories how kind and wonderful he was. When I moved away to Florida in 2012 ,He would cross my path when I would visit there, still always with a smile just like I never left. Behind me at Chick fa a drive through I would return the kindness by buying his breakfast, then he would blow the horn and wave laughing and shaking his head. With prayers ,love and hugs for his family he will be missed by so many. I will see you again in Heaven Dr.Crowe.

My heartfelt sympathy to Dr. Crowe's family. I had the pleasure of working with him for 22 years at Oconee Hospital in several different capacities. Dr. Crowe was a very special person and wonderful physician. I did not have the pleasure of knowing his family but he spoke of them all the time. He took care of my entire
family and he was always the MD we requested for surgery. I had the pleasure of him singing to me on several occasions. He performed a magic show for one of my daughters birthday parties and was a big hit. He was always so kind and easy going, great to work with. It was easy to see he was a Man of God and the number of lives he touched is unmeasureable. Dr. Crowe will be greatly missed, I still find it hard to accept his passing. I pray that God will be with his family in the time of great sorrow.
