News Death Notice

HALL, Daniel M. age 75, a Ross resident for over 50 years passed away Saturday morning, October 16, 2010 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born on May 16, 1935 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of Charles and Stella (Freeman) Hall. Dan graduated from Cincinnati Public Schools Graphic Arts. He married Barbara Lane and together they raised three children. For over 25 years he worked for Fairfield City Schools as a school bus driver. He was a member of Columbia Lodge #44 and Hoffner Lodge #253 F&AM, Cincinnati Scottish Rite, and Cincinnati Shriners where he served as the leader of the Kentucky Colonels. Boy Scouts of America, Troop # 923, was an important part of his life. He dedicated many hours to helping young boys of the Ross area go through the ranks of scouting. He is survived by his wife Barbara Hall; his children, Charles A. (Colleen) Hall of Colerain Township, Diane J. (Tony) Carter of West Elkton, and Richard D. (Shannon Webster) Hall of Fairfield; ten grandchildren, Erica N. Fritzsche, Jonathan C. Hall, Nathan D. Hall, Laurie D. Edison, Brandon M. Hall, Bethany B. Hall, Steven Carter, Logan Carter, Austin Carter, and Jackson Carter; four great grandchildren; one brother William (Margaret) Hall; one sister Dorothy (Roy) Lane; and many other loving relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers Kenneth and Cecil Hall. Funeral services will be held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road, Ross, Ohio on Tuesday at 12:00 noon with burial following in Venice Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon with Masonic services being held just prior to the funeral.
