Mary-Lou Leenders Obituary

LEENDERS, Mary-Lou (Fay) Mary-Lou (Fay) Leenders died early Sunday morning, (October 4, 2009) in Granby. She was born January 12, 1935 in Hartford, the daughter of the late James and Sarah (Finn) Fay. Mary-Lou leaves her loving husband, Theodore of East Granby; her daughter, Kathleen and her husband Phil Weaver of Salina, KS; her son, David and his wife Melissa Leenders of Lebanon, NH; and her daughter, Lisa and her fiancé Rick Arcand of Granby. She also leaves three grandsons, Kevin, Joshua, and Zack Weaver and a step-granddaughter, Mariah Capron. Mary-Lou is also survived by her sister, Judy Fay; her sister, Susan and her husband Chip Vignone, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves a dear friend, Diane Dunne. Mary-Lou worked for many years as a cashier at Amazing Stores, Bradlees, and Kings. She was a member of the Friendship Club of East Granby and had long ago been a member of the Granby Women's Bowling League. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, October 7, at 6 p.m. at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St., Granby. Her family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday evening, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. I have fond memories of Aunt MaryLou, in the last 11 years she was more of a mom to me than my Aunt. When I needed to talk or just to hear her voice she was always there for me and my family. I don't have words to say how much Aunt MaryLou meant to me. She's with
